Charity Dinner Fondazione Veronesi - Torino
The Gala Dinner of the Turin Delegation of the Umberto Veronesi Foundation represents the most important moment of meeting with the companies and supporters of the area who have chosen to believe in the values that inspire the Foundation.
The funds raised during this evening will be allocated to scientific research on pediatric tumors and, in particular, to the activation of a treatment protocol for lymphoblastic lymphomas.
Every year around 250 thousand children in the world get cancer. In Italy, there are more than 1,400 new cancer diagnoses in children up to 14 years of age and 800 in adolescents between 15 and 19 years of age. Over the last forty years, research has made it possible to significantly increase recoveries, even reaching 90% for some forms of leukemia. A lot has been done, but not enough. For this reason, the Veronesi Foundation is committed to supporting scientific research and the best treatments for children and young people with cancer, to improve the life expectancy and quality of these young patients.
